HEALING, HEALTH AND HOPE

OUR PROGRAMS

We work with teens, aged 12-18, and young adults, aged 18-25, to overcome mental health and substance abuse challenges and pave the way for a bright and successful future.

psychiatric day treatment

Our full-day treatment program, also called the Psychiatric Day Treatment, does not involve spending time in a hospital. Instead, clients visit our treatment center on a consistent basis to receive the treatment, therapy and support they need to achieve their recovery goals.

This provides a strong level of support to help them stay on track as they build healthy coping skills and address past challenges.

Kiwi Recovery currently offers two tracks of the Psychiatric Day Treatment program:

Adolescents Day Treatment: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 3:15pm

Young Adults Day Treatment: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm

While in full-day treatment in our Concord center, clients can expect to participate in a variety of therapies, according to their personalized treatment plan:

  • Group Therapy: Building connections with peers and discovering new perspectives.
  • Evidence-based therapies, (For example, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)): Exploring feelings and identifying triggers.
  • Individual Therapy: Processing the challenges of recovery in a safe, non-judgmental space.
  • Skills Development: Learning and practicing healthy coping skills to prevent relapse in the future.
  • Family Therapy: Working on improving communication and building trust to foster healthy family relationships.

Additional services like music therapy, meditation, and trauma therapy support clients as they build healthy coping skills for long-term recovery.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)

An intensive outpatient program is a structured treatment outside of a residential setting. One step down from a full-day treatment program, it’s designed to support our clients as they transition into more independent recovery.

At Kiwi Recovery, our IOP typically involves three to five days of treatment a week for three to five hours each day. With this balance of real life and therapy, our clients can successfully integrate the skills they’ve learned in treatment into their daily lives.

Kiwi Recovery currently offers two tracks of the IOP program:

Adolescent IOP: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 3:30pm - 6:30pm. Light snacks provided.

Young Adult IOP: Monday-Friday 9:00am – 12pm

While in the Intensive Outpatient Program at our Concord, MA center, clients can expect to participate in a variety of therapies, according to their personalized treatment plan:

  • Relapse prevention: While key to all our treatment programs, the IOP allows clients to practice relapse prevention skills in real-life situations.
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT): CBT helps our clients identify and challenge any negative thoughts or behavior patterns that can lead to substance use issues.
  • Group therapy: Group therapy helps our youth learn from their peers, share their stories, and build social skills in a compassionate and supportive environment.
  • Family therapy: The entire family unit benefits from sessions with a therapist who can help them explore personal issues and learn how to best support their loved one in recovery.

Additional services like music therapy, meditation, and trauma therapy support clients as they build healthy coping skills for long-term recovery.
