FAQs

We are located off route 2 in Concord MA, at 86 Baker Ave Ext, Concord, MA 01742.

We named Kiwi Recovery because we wanted to find a name that was short & sweet, easy to remember and one that was fun and playful like the population we are committed to serving. No, we don’t have a passion for Kiwi fruits or the flightless bird from New Zealand. What do we have
a passion for at Kiwi Recovery? Empowering Youth and Family Wellness by providing comprehensive and individualized day treatment for adolescents and young adults struggling with substance use and mental health challenges.

No, we serve all of MA and may be able to assist with setting up transportation utilizing The Ride/PT-1, UberTeen or Uber/Lyft. Additionally, we do have a telehealth option for our young adult day programs.

We serve youth and young adults who need support with substance use and mental health. We have three different program opportunities: Full day programming from 9a-3p, IOP half day programming from 9a-12p and outpatient individual therapy services for adolescents aged 12-18 and young adults aged 18-25.

Kiwi Recovery’s program is appropriate for youth and young adults who need help reintegrating and maintaining their recovery after completing a more acute level of care. Kiwi is also a great fit for youth and young adults who may not need a higher level of care but need support and tools to maintain their sobriety or to work on their mental health challenges.

We accept most commercial insurance however; at this time, we are out-of-network for most insurances. We also can serve folks with Medicaid but utilizing a sliding scale fee based on income.

Yes! We currently offer telehealth PHP and IOP services for our Young Adult (18-25 yo) group programming and for all outpatient therapy. We believe that our adolescent clientele (12-18yo) have a robust therapeutic experience and can connect deeply with their peers when they are attending in-person.

We offer 1.5 hours of academic tutoring every day while they are in our full day program. A licensed teacher facilitates academic time and will coordinate with each adolescent’s school to be sure they stay on top of their homework and coursework.

We offer delicious breakfast & lunch. Lunch is only provided for full day treatment. Everyone is offered a continental breakfast. We work with local eateries to provide nutritionally balanced meals.

Yes, we believe the family has to be involved for the treatment to be effective. However, we do also offer the youth and young adults we serve autonomy and privacy. We balance this by going through the expectations and what can and cannot be shared with the client and family at intake.
